Willy Wonka Theme 15th Birthday Bash!

Its been a while since i've had the opportunity to blog. We have already completed many amazing events this season and I cant wait to start sharing some of our most recent work. I am thrilled to kick off a new series of blogs with a fabulous 15th birthday party / quince for Sophia. When I met Sophia and her mom Ana, we instantly clicked and were all on the same page with our vision for the event. Sophia wanted a Willy Wonka theme, but also wanted the party to have a night club feel and a sophistication to it. We transformed their backyard with a fully draped tent, whimsical lanterns and parasols hung from the ceiling, dramatic uplighting, and fun and modern decor elements such as spandex linens, lucite chivari chairs, white lounge furniture, green orchids with submersible led lights, and mini cubes of wheat grass.

Our in house graphic designer Susie created a custom logo for Sophia using her Willy Wonka inspiration and color theme. The logo was used everywhere from the dance floor gobo, custom decal created for the lucite bar, cake, candy bar wrappers, tee shirts, and most impressive a custom "step and repeat" backdrop used in the photo booth.

The party boasted some incredible treats including a lavish candy bar, chocolate fountain, a 3 tier custom cake, and 2 specialty drinks or mocktails named after Sophia.

Here are some photos of the big day taken by Vanessa Lam of VLM Studios. Enjoy!

Fallyn and Rodrigo at Temple Beth David Miami

I will truly miss working with Fallyn, Rodrigo, and their families! We had such a great time for the last year planning their fabulous wedding at Temple Beth David in Miami. The ceremony was held in the historic sanctuary, followed by a cocktail hour held in the Temple's Judaic Museum, and the reception in the beautiful grand ballroom.

Guests dined on a fantastic 5-course meal including a pretty incredible dessert quartet pictured below. Every detail was tended to, including beautiful monogrammed menu cards and personalized napkin ring favors.

The decor concept was tones of fuchsia, pink, red, and deep burgundy with accents of gold for a mix of traditional and modern.

Chris and Brianna's Spanish Monastery Wedding!

After over a year of working with Brianna and Chris, I was thrilled to see this chic and organic vision finally come together on their wedding day. The Ancient Spanish Monastery set the scene for the elegant affair and all of the little details really made this wedding special. Brianna chose really beautiful and natural elements like wheat grass that were used throughout the wedding. Wheatgrass surrounded the cake, made a bed for her adorable placecards, and was used in tiny glass cubes to adorn her centerpieces. Simple yet luxurious papers were used for her placecards and menu cards. Together we designed her fabulous invitations which were a 3-dimensional invitation that came to each guest in a kraft paper box. The box was lined with Spanish Moss and finished with an ivory card and sprig of curly willow wrapped in copper wire. The florals were shades of white and green on top of chocolate satin linens.

The guests dined on a huge variety of hors d'oeuvres from ahi tuna to kobe beef sliders and then were later treated to a dual plate of steak and snapper. Later in the night guests had a huge selection of sweets to choose from including fresh baked chocolate chip cookies with shots of cold milk, a candy display filled with white confections, and their choice of red velvet cake with white chocolate ganache or vanilla cake with fresh strawberries and cream with lemon zest buttercream!

The guests were just as entertained as they were well fed with a latin trio, flamenco performance, and photobooth.

Although, there was a little rain, it didnt damper the party in the slightest!

Congratulations Brianna and Chris!

Special thank you to Gregory and Heidi Paul from Gregory Paul Photography who took these amazing shots!

Mayra and Jaime's City Chic Wedding!

Mayra and Jaime came to me with a vision. They wanted a cosmopolitan wedding with an organic feel. We put major emphasis on the lighting with amber uplights and a custom gobo with their names and initial. The flowers were all in shades of green and white with just a touch of pink and included cymbidium orchids and hydrangea. Curly willow embellished the tall centerpieces for a very natural yet impressive feel to the room. Candles were everywhere! The highlight of the look was the panoramic evening views of Downtown Fort Lauderdale. The reception was held on the 28th floor of the Regions Bank building at the Tower Club. Special thanks to Fernando Gonzalez from Boda Studios for the fabulous photos, http://www.bodainc.com/.
